    iSkim vs iSkim Ultra from my perspective as an owner of both products

    A while back I wrote a review for the iSkim Ultra after having it and using it for well over a year and listed what it does well, very well & where it's shortcomings presented themselves.

    This review is to highlight the same for the new 2026 release of the iSkim (non Ultra).

    The unit has maintained basically the same appearance. albeit a few minor changes, as it is meant as a more budget friendly version over the Ultra.

    My first impression at the un-boxing was that the motorized frontal side brushes are gone on this model. These side brushes were what drew me to the Ultra when I first purchased it because our pool is a lagoon style, meaning very curvy walls with boulders protruding into the waterline. These are areas where floating leaves and blowing debris tends to gather. Thinking that the brushes would do a great job flushing the debris out to where the unit could gobble it up, what I found was that the spinning brushes actually diverted a lot of debris out and away from the front intake due to water flow caused by the brushes. This new iSkim without the spinning brushes has wheels instead of the brushes which in my experience do a few things actually better than the Ultra;

    1 - Floating debris is not pushed away from the intake due to not causing a water flow away from the intake because of the spinning brushes on the Ultra. This is a good thing!

    2 - The new frontal wheels that replaced the brushes now act as a guide to help the unit not get stuck in areas of the…

    Best skimmer on the market !!!

    I did a ton of research before buying a robotic pool skimmer and originally owned the Betta SE. After switching to the Beatbot iSkim Ultra, I can confidently say this is the best skimmer on the market right now.

    The build quality, intelligence, and 3-year warranty are on another level—nothing else comes close. It cleans way faster, moves incredibly quickly, and has a much larger filter capacity so I no longer have to empty it daily like I did with the Betta SE. It also does a great job holding leaves and debris securely in the basket, even during waves or storms (something the SE struggled with).

    I’m so glad I made the switch. If you’re thinking about getting a robotic skimmer, get the iSkim Ultra. Pretty much every YouTube video and review I’ve seen says the same thing—check it out. Best skimmer on the market!

    Cleans fantastic but…

    The skinner does its job perfectly and holds its charge very well, also charges with minimal sunlight. With several consistent afternoon rains it has no problem working through the night and into the next morning. The really only issue I have is that it rides too high in the water and is constant running into the bull nose tile creating many scratches on the plastic body after just a couple of weeks owning it. I hope they don’t get too severe and cause the skinner to eventually crack and take in water.

    Great skimmer

    I’d give it 5 stars if it didn’t bee line to the wall and crash into it. But I have to say it cleans the to if the pool after it’s ECO mode operation. It’s usually spotless, it ever tally gets everything. I leave it on ECO mode and every 4 hours it starts itself up and goes to work. The solar charge keeps it topped off and the only time I charged it was when it came out of the box. I love it, if and when it retires I will move up to the next model but this one is fantastic.

    Work Horse

    We love this machine! We get little seeds that fall (whirling) into the pool. This is such a lifesaver! Unfortunately after 13 days one of the propellers/motors is not functioning. The message read “foreign object in propeller clean out) which we did. Now you can feel a vibration and noise in the motor. So disappointing we want it fixed or send a replacement PLEASE!!!
