A while back I wrote a review for the iSkim Ultra after having it and using it for well over a year and listed what it does well, very well & where it's shortcomings presented themselves.
This review is to highlight the same for the new 2026 release of the iSkim (non Ultra).
The unit has maintained basically the same appearance. albeit a few minor changes, as it is meant as a more budget friendly version over the Ultra.
My first impression at the un-boxing was that the motorized frontal side brushes are gone on this model. These side brushes were what drew me to the Ultra when I first purchased it because our pool is a lagoon style, meaning very curvy walls with boulders protruding into the waterline. These are areas where floating leaves and blowing debris tends to gather. Thinking that the brushes would do a great job flushing the debris out to where the unit could gobble it up, what I found was that the spinning brushes actually diverted a lot of debris out and away from the front intake due to water flow caused by the brushes. This new iSkim without the spinning brushes has wheels instead of the brushes which in my experience do a few things actually better than the Ultra;
1 - Floating debris is not pushed away from the intake due to not causing a water flow away from the intake because of the spinning brushes on the Ultra. This is a good thing!

I've got only had this for a week but have used it everyday in order to get ready for swimming season. Due to a previous vacuum robot breaking there was significant debris on the bottom and walls that needed to be cleaned. The pool is covered most of the time which limits the floating debris quite a. Hit even though there are trees surrounding the pool.
The initial runtime on standard mode (40'x20' pool with sundeck, 8' deep) was 180 minutes and still had 30% left on the battery. It picked up quite a few of the the leaves at the bottom during that initial scrub. I did try different modes in order to get the sun deck scrubbed but there isn't much water and I've yet to try every mode available to see which one may work. I'm not too concerned if it doesn't clean that section as it's a simple to brush.
The notifications when cleaning is done is very helpful and I've only had to fish out the robot once because I missed the notification. I'm sure a corded robot will have more suction but I detest having to deal with a cord that gets tangled and causes the robot to kiss sections of the pool because the leash is too short.
I've only rated this a 4 out of 5 because I've only been using it a short time even though I have experienced no issues during that time.

I run this skimmer alongside my Aquasense 2, and the two together keep my pool completely clean. The skimmer handles the surface, the Aquasense 2 handles the floor and walls, and I haven't had to skim or vacuum by hand since.
The standout feature is the solar charging. I leave it in the pool and let it run all the time, and I've only had to plug it in once. It just keeps going day after day, which is what really makes it feel set-and-forget.
One small suggestion: after a couple of rainy days, I noticed it was searching for a sunny spot to recharge around 11pm. Since it's always connected to the internet, it would be great if it could factor in daylight hours to maximize charging efforts. It's a minor quirk and doesn't affect how well it cleans, and that’s the only time I had to use the optional wall charger.
Highly recommend, especially paired with a robot that handles the bottom of the pool.
