What kind of pool can the Sora 70 clean？
The Sora 70 is compatible with swimming pools of all shapes and materials, including both in-ground and above-ground pools made of concrete, vinyl, fiberglass, ceramic tile, stainless steel and more.
Can Sora 70 clean the stairs/steps?
Yes. You can clean the stairs/steps using either Standard Mode or Pro Mode.
Tips:
1. The water depth of the stairs/steps must be greater than 0.7 ft (0.2 m), and both the length and width of the stairs/steps should be no less than 3.3 ft (1 m).
2. For optimal cleaning results, we recommend removing any debris from the stairs/steps before starting the cleaning process.

The Sora 70 is capable of cleaning saltwater pools, provided that the salt concentration is below 5000 PPM.
Can the Sora 70 clean infinity pools?
The Sora 70 is capable of cleaning infinity pools. First, the device will perform a three-line exploration of the pool along a zigzag path. After the exploration is completed, it will clean along the longest side of the pool. Once the first cleaning pass is finished, the device will rotate 90 degrees and then perform a supplementary cleaning along the longest side again to ensure optimal cleaning results.

When the Sora70 is operating on the water surface, you can control the device via the APP by selecting either the Remote Control Mode or the One-Click Docking Function. However, the robot’s cleaning process will be interrupted during this operation.

Soro 70 does a great job cleaning and skimming my pool. The only draw back that I have is, only after a few uses. The edges get scratched up due to my pool shape and design. Maybe they could put rubber guards on the edges to prevent this issue

Bob has only had one issue, Bob couldn't connect to "icloud". This occurred after our modem and router were switched to a new router and modem. I could see Bob had "active" status on my routers device list but I was still unable to connect Bob to "icloud".
After calling BeatBot technical support, Bob was able to connect and did a firmware update.
No more issues since then. I have Bob doing a standard cleaning 2 times a week and if there is noticeable material on the surface and then I'll do a "Pro Mode". This routine makes my pool look better than it does after the pool was professionally cleaned.
I bought Bob to help make my wife's life easier. Bob has definitely done his job!

I purchased the Beatbot Sora 70 Robotic Pool Cleaner on May 11, 2026, and I have been very pleased with its overall performance. The cleaner does an excellent job keeping my pool clean, is easy to operate, and has saved me a significant amount of time on pool maintenance.
The only issue I experienced was that some very small debris appeared to be escaping from the top of the cleaner while it was cleaning the pool floor. I contacted Beatbot's customer service to let them know about the problem, and I was impressed by their response. Their support team was professional, responsive, and quickly offered to send me an Ultra Filter Basket at no charge to help address the issue.
It's refreshing to see a company stand behind its products and take customer concerns seriously. While no product is perfect, Beatbot's excellent customer service and willingness to provide a solution have made my experience a very positive one. I have an irregularly shaped pool with a shelf that curves along the back side, a huge step/shelf at the entrance, and it is about 24 feet long. I tried several cleaners over the years: suction-side, pressure-side, wired pool robots, and finally the Beatbot Sora 70. I've had this for about 3 weeks so far, and I couldn't be more impressed. It's the first cleaner that has been able to clean the shelf along the back wall, the stairs, the walls, the waterline, and the pool's surface. Most cleaners can do the bottom of your pool ok, but this leaves my pool looking pristine! I go out once a week and give the pool a quick brushing (by quick, I mean 5 minutes), and that's it. I probably don't even need to do that. I have it set to clean for 4 hours a day, and have more than 40% battery left at the end of the cleaning. I haven't tried a ton of pool cleaners, but this is a small investment for the time it's saved me. I do have to drop it in the pool before work, and take it out after work, but this is 2 minutes tops per day. If you want to know if you should get this, how could you not? It has a 3-year warranty, do it!
