Beatbot Sora 70 Robotic Pool Cleaner

The unit does an excellent job of cleaning the pool. Captures large and small debris. I also like the design of the waste basket. Very easy to remove and improved capacity over my earlier models. It did a great job for that purpose and as a result I would buy one even if you weren’t sending me one as a result of the beta test.

Did I like the robot? It was... fine... For general cleaning, it wasn't as good as my AquaSense, or the SEAuto Seal I had prior to that, but it did a reasonable job. I did love, however, two things... The large basket, which, even with my small pool, could be totally filled after a windstorm, and best of all, surface mode! It was something I didn't know I wanted until I saw it happening, and just how much pollen and dust my pool was gathering, skimmers not withstanding. I got a sense of joy watching it roam around, its two jets reminding me of a big water boatmen insect, and the model RC boats I had as a kid. A couple of times, I used the remote to drive it, just for fun.

I was also impressed to see genuine improvements with the firmware changes, an example being the parking issues I initially had being completely resolved.

All in all, it was a genuinely fun project, and while I hope BB got something from me, it got me thinking about some of the daily helpers that we just take for granted, and how the crowd can influence the process. As a last hurrah, I put both bots in today to tag team the resulting mess from a windstorm last night and they did a great job.

Just finished 6 weeks of constant Beta Testing of the soon to be released Beat Bot SORA 70. Being a Joe Average Consumer, and extremely happy with the performance of my Beat Bot Aqua Sense, I was excited to be chosen. For the next 6 weeks we put it to through a very thorough workout.

The easily downloaded App allowed us to have control, set cleaning modes and even has a Park feature. Through rain, hail, Sunny, Cloudy days and temperatures from 34 to 75 degrees the Sora proved it could handle leaves, pollen, dirt, local construction dirt and dust with it dual level filtration system. It replaced both of my current cleaners with the ability to clean floors, walls, tiles. and especially its dual jet surface cleaner. It also had no problems cleaning the tanning ledges and multi- level steps.

The sad part was boxing the Sora 70 up to send it back to Beat Bot and return to my old pool cleaners. I highly recommend the Sora 70, and ALL Beat Box products for their unique design, rugged construction, durability and ease of use.

I have about 12 trees in my backyard, with two large ones almost covering the pool like a canopy, so leaves fall into the water constantly throughout the year. Because of that, a reliable pool robot is essential for me.

After testing the Sora 70 Beatbot, I was pleasantly surprised by how capable and solid the robot feels, especially for what appears to be a budget-friendly all-in-one cleaner. It handled routine debris well and moved smoothly around the pool despite of complex kidney shaped pool we had.

One feature I didn't expect to appreciate so much is the purple color, it actually makes the robot much easier to spot underwater compared to the typical dark-colored pool cleaners.

Overall, it feels like a strong, well-built robot that brings high-end style features into a more accessible price point, which could make it very appealing for many pool owners.
