Beatbot AquaSense® Pro Robotic Pool Cleaner

I received my new Beatbot AquaSense Pro 100 yesterday. My pool was pretty dirty, especially with a lot of debris settled at the bottom (as shown in the picture). Since it was my first time using it, I chose the Pro Mode, which cleans the floor, walls, waterline, and surface.

After running for 224 minutes, it managed to clean about 95% of the pool floor, which I found really impressive. Even after a full run, the battery still had around 45% charge left - a pleasant surprise!

This is my first experience with a cordless pool cleaner, and so far, I'm very happy with the performance. I just hope the battery continues to hold its capacity well over time.

I've had the opportunity to use several autonomous and semi-autonomous robotic pool cleaners and, to be honest, most of them do a fairly good job at cleaning debris from the bottom of the pool. So much so, that there are plenty of lesser models on the market that are perfectly serviceable and more budget friendly.

So what sets the Beatbot Aquasense Pro apart? Let's dive into it...

To start, the Aquasense Pro is built like a tank. It is notably larger and heavier than any other cleaner I've used. Happily, this added bulk isn't just for show - it translates directly into performance. The suction on this cleaner is exceptional. It has no problem with the standard debris that collects in a pool - leaves, sticks, pebbles, etc. It will clean and contain these items with no problem. The bigger test for us, however, was twofold: First, we had our pool tiles sandblasted to remove some significant hard water deposits underneath a waterfall that drops into our pool. The person sandblasting did vacuum the pool afterward, but the process still left a significant amount of fine silt. With just two cleaning cycles, Aquasense Pro was able to clean and filter the remaining fine silt leaving our pool sparkling clean. It was quite amazing to see how well the filter basket worked by trapping a significant portion of the leftover blasting media.

Dropping the price was enough to motivate me to buy. I was tired of my current corded pressure vacuum so I was looking for a cordless option. The top access basket was a big selling point for me. Hated my previous bag vacuum which was a pain to empty. This unit does get stuck at times which worries me. That will waste battery time and prevent cleaning. One easy fix that I would love to see is add a manual function to the app. You could connect to the vacuum via blue tooth and direct the unit to go where you want it to go. Having the ability to navigate it in the app could save battery time and also allow us to get those tight, curved hard to get areas. Hopefully the more times I use the device the better it will get at navigating the pool. I have a fairly basic pool so you would think it would navigate it easily.

We just purchased a Beatbot AquaSense for our pool. While reading numerous reviews it was common that it would take several uses for the Beatbot to cover the entire pool/waterline. The unit is in my pool for the first use. The process has been amazing to watch. It has covered the entire floor of the pool in multible grid directions and is presently cleaning the waterline. This seems to be one of those products that actually performs as advertised. Job well done!

Beatbot is a game changer on keeping your pool clean. Our pool was never so sparkling clean before - we have a couple of plants on our patio (which is screened - here in sunny Florida) some of the leaves fall off and are stuck on the drains on the bottom - we had a Dolphin before (with wire!) and it never sucked those leaves in - with Beatbot no problem at all. It's easy to use and to maintain (just clean the basket after - dry it up - we have salt water pool and done) My son loves watching it - he calls HIM Mr Bubbles - Beatbot works better than the latest IRobot. If you have a pool and want to safe money on a pool boy - this is it - get Beatbot - since we got Mr Bubbles - 3 of our neighbors purchased one as well. Oh and get SUTRO !!!!!!!
